In the spring of 2010 the Association of Bay County Educators (ABCE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the district stating that ABCE would work with the district to write the Race To The Top grant – known as RTTT. ABCE has had representation on the RTTT committee since the beginning and continues to be included with the writing of this grant. Any part of RTTT that will affect a teacher’s working condition and/or pay will be negotiated/bargained by ABCE with the district. ABCE members, I encourage you to use this website to increase your knowledge dealing with RTTT and, if you have any questions, use the Q&A on this website.
Many items that are written in the RTTT grant are also being written into legislation at this time, so please be informed in these issues as they may have an impact on you and your job.
