Teachers Getting Your Classroom Computers Ready for Back to School:
In the majority of summer maintenance moves, computer systems have been left with keyboard, monitor, and mouse connections intact. Only the power sources need to be reconnected to set them back in place.
Step 1: Connect the power plug from the back of the monitor to an outlet*
Step 2: Connect the power plug from the back of the desktop or tower case CPU to an outlet*
Step 3: Connect the network cable (the cable with the ends that look like phone jacks, but aren't really the same size as phone jacks) to the back of the CPU and the network jack on the wall.
Note: If you connect this after the computer is already on, you will need to reboot in order to make a network connection. * If your monitor and CPU plugs are plugged into a surge protector strip, make sure it is plugged in and turned on.
