The primary objective of Race to the Top is to invest in human capital in order to improve student achievement.  In order to accomplish this goal, professional develoment must be a priority.  Teachers will have access to quality professional development based on relevant data decisions. Funds in this section pay for a staff training specialist to assist in delivering required training as well as substitute teachers, stipends, registration, travel, consultants and vendors.
