ITV (WHR-801)
Instructional television resources for Bay District Schools are coordinated through Bay District Instructional Media Services. Bay District Schools broadcast programming in cooperation with Gulf Coast Community College with our signal originating from the campus of GCCC ( WHR-801). WHR-801 facilities are located on the campus of Gulf Coast Community College in the Media Center building.
Programming offered:
- Educational programming for K-12 from 7:30AM to 3:00 PM
- Educational programming for GCCC from 4:00PM to 10:00PM
- GCCC Sporting Events when scheduled
- Seniors for Seniors hours: Wednesday 1:00PM and Sunday 8:00AM
- Classic Arts programming late nights and weekends
- Satellite broadcast events such as distance learning programs, staff development and curriculum based programming.
- An electronic bulletin board which airs during portions of the broadcast day not reserved for pre-recorded programming. The bulletin board features annoncements related to schools, district activities, GCCC information and community affairs.
