Our goal is to help all our students reach their highest academic potential. We work to identify issues affecting students' academic performance and emotional health; to find solutions where problems are found; and to implement federal and state statutes. To meet those needs, we offer direct services to our students, families, and schools, helping to ensure that classroom and school environments are safe, drug-free, and conducive to students’ optimal educational progress and emotional health. Click the links at left to learn more about what we have to offer.

Message from the Director:

Welcome to the Bay District Schools Student Services Department. Our department is committed to the success of each student, spearheading programs to complement the learning that takes place in the classroom and enhance the overall educational experience. Working in partnership with others we advocate for and provide leadership to cultivate our students’ educational success and personal development, offering services to assist parents, students, and schools with meeting their guidance, social, and health needs. Through the programs we offer, we help to ensure that our students have a strong foundation to stand on as they strive to reach their utmost academic potential.

We also work to implement federal and state statutes, such as those establishing ESOL, Title I, and School Choice; provide prevention and intervention programs such as Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS); and provide services to foster a safe, bullying-free, and drug-free school environment. We encourage you to explore this website to learn more about the services we offer to support student success. On this site, you’ll find service descriptions, application forms, standard procedures, and contact information for our department personnel.

We hope you find this site helpful and informative. If you have a question, a concern, or a problem to solve and aren’t sure where to begin, Student Services is a great place to start. Whatever your need, our department will be able to address it directly, or will connect you with others who will.

We are very happy that you have made the decision to choose Bay District Schools. You will find that the staff members in the Division of Student Services are eager to assist you.
